Hypocrisy

We as America face desperate times due to a lapse of vision by our current president George W. Bush and many members of congress. The downward spiral currently faced by millions and millions of Americans will only increase in time. This is for seen with the increased rise of energy. Oil is purchased on a greed infested market based on speculation, refined by refineries into gas then shipped to gas stations. Who makes the biggest profit? One might assume gas stations right? Wrong the oil companies and the Saudi kingdom profit billions upon billions through a mafia like organization called OPEC. They increase the flow and decrease the flow therefore they control the market. Take in mind Saudi Arabia is an ally only because of there precious black gold. If you look what America stands for just refer to the constitution of course and look at our supposed ally Saudi Arabia the only thing we really share interest with them on is money and oil. They have some of the worst human rights. Women have no rights at all. It’s a sad day when a woman can be gang raped and receive punishment of torture and imprisonment and was a Victim too. They also mind you are listed on Human Rights Watch. Yet since they supply us our addicted substance we somehow over look there policies that share similarities of control and torture used by the same countries we consider threats to America. Hypocrisy at it’s greatest form. Another example would be China another country listed on Human Rights Watch. Our trade with them is clearly unbalanced. So called American companies have goods made for pure greed worded as competitive in country with no worker rights. Unsafe working conditions, cheap pay and then allow tainted goods such as toys to be shipped and shelved across stores in America. What makes this country different is the basic morals in which we stand. To allow morals to some how be sidelined for the sake of profit and allow American workers subjected to increased poverty waged jobs due to our lack or unwillingness to work for two dollars a week is unpatriotic at best.
